Discover durable, pre-seasoned pure sheet iron cookware designed for everyday Indian kitchens. From crisp dosas and soft chapatis to flavourful curries and deep-fried snacks, sheet iron cookware offers responsive heating, dependable performance and freedom from synthetic non-stick coatings.

Sheet Iron vs Cast Iron

Although both materials are forms of iron cookware, they perform differently. Sheet iron is generally lighter, heats faster and responds quickly when the cooking temperature is changed. This makes it convenient for daily cooking and recipes that require precise heat control.

Cast iron is heavier and takes longer to heat, but it retains heat for an extended period. It is particularly useful for slow cooking, searing and dishes that benefit from steady temperatures. Sheet iron is an excellent choice for households seeking traditional iron cookware that is easier to handle and quicker to heat.

Seasoning and Maintenance

Sheet iron cookware becomes better seasoned with regular use. Before cooking, warm the cookware gradually and apply a thin layer of cooking oil. After use, wash it by hand with mild soap and a soft scrubber. Dry it immediately over low heat and apply a light coating of oil before storage.

Do not soak sheet iron cookware or leave it wet, as moisture can cause rust. If rust appears, gently scrub the affected area, wash and dry the cookware, and season it again. Read the detailed seasoning, cleaning and rust-prevention guide for additional instructions.

Gas and Induction Compatibility

Sheet iron cookware performs efficiently on gas stoves. Products with a flat base are also compatible with induction, electric and ceramic cooktops when the base makes proper contact with the cooking surface. Compatibility may differ by product, so check the specifications on each product page before purchasing.
