Method of Cooking
- Dry roast sieved rice flour in a pan until it turns light golden brown. Allow it to cool completely.
- Break any lumps and transfer the flour to a wide bowl. Sprinkle water gradually and mix until the flour reaches a moist, crumbly texture.
- Grate fresh coconut and keep it ready.
- Place the perforated disc inside the puttu maker.
- Add a layer of grated coconut followed by a layer of prepared rice flour mixture.
- Repeat the layers two or three times as required.
